After Effects does not allow Mocha shapes to be pasted

I have After Effects CS4, Mocha 1.5.2, and AE Mocha Shape. Shape was working, but now if I export Mocha roto shapes to the clipboard, I cannot Paste onto a clip on the timeline in After Effects. The Paste menu item is grayed out. Is this a Shape license issue? Mocha runs off of a Dongle and my Shape license is in the root/Library/Application Support/Imagineer Systems/FLEXlm/Licenses folder.

Hi Steve,
Are you getting an error message when you switch back to After Effects, or it just won't let you paste?
Clipboard problems are more commonly an issue with After Effects in Windows, but have you also tried closing and re-opening AE to purge the clipboard memory?

No error messages. I have restarted my Mac, and still no joy. I'm frustrated and confused. How can I be sure that the Shape plug-in is seeing it's license? I can manually apply the Shape plug-in in After Effects without any errors, but not paste any data to it.
