I'm using Vegas movie studio hd platinum 11, QT pro 7.7.3, Win 7 64 bit, i7, 4GB RAM

Importing some ProRes 422 1920x1080 30p clips, only the audio tracks come in. No picture.

Then installed Apple ProRes QuickTime Decoder for Windows. No improvement.

Clips have picture and sound in VLC player on this computer.

How can I fix this?

George

George, look for a slightly older version of QuickTime.
This has happened to a few other folks and an older version solved their problem.

Do you have the latest Quicktime player installed?

"Do you have the latest Quicktime player installed?" I do now. QT Pro 7.7.3

Apple update asked to be updated a couple weeks ago. I foolishly clicked update.

Lots of earlier versions available on Old Apps or Avid's forum.

Is there a tutorial on backdating QT on Win 7?

I've done it years ago on a Mac. There were lots of hidden files that had to be removed

No need for a tutorial. Just uninstall QuickTime and install the version you need. QuickTime is not integrated into the Windows operating system like it is on Mac OS X so it's a lot easier to remove and replace.
