Hi, I'm using Vegas Pro 11 32 bit and trying to apply color correction, white balance / whatever, and whenever I click on the option, a "Vegas Pro has stopped working" message pops up and it exits out. It does the same thing for pan crop.

I've already tried uninstalling and re installing, but that didn't fix the problem. I've also turned off GPU acceleration, but that didn't fix it either.

I was wondering if anyone here could help.

Here's the error message I got, if it helps:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: vegas110.exe
Application Version: 11.0.0.682
Application Timestamp: 4f9674c3
Fault Module Name: mscorwks.dll
Fault Module Version: 2.0.50727.5448
Fault Module Timestamp: 4e154bce
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 000153f8
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Thanks!

From the error message it looks like the problem is being caused by mscorwks.dll. A quick Google search reveals that this is a Microsoft bug for which they have issued a hot fix.

I would report the error to Sony then. I don't know what mscorwks.dll has to do with Vegas. I assume it's some Microsoft program running in the background that causing the problem and not Vegas itself. That's a .Net 2.0 file and Vegas Pro 11 uses .Net 3.5 so it shouldn't even come into the picture. Do you have other software that uses the .Net 2.0 Framework that are also running? Try and close them.

I've read that some malware camouflages itself as mscorwks.dll, particularly when located in the c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. You might want to run an anti-malware/anti-virus scan just to be sure all of your files are legitimate.
