Hello guys,
I am currently having an issue with Sony Vegas 11. I keep on trying to render a clip with the velocity setting on, and it just keeps on freezing my render process. It always makes it just to 1 percent, then it fails... It does this to any render setting I choose. I tried using smart resample and force resample and nothing seems to work. Would anyone have any ideas on why this issue can be occurring? The file renders fine when velocity isn't added but once it's added, it can no longer handle the render.I have also tried lowering the velocity settings and I still run into the same issue.

Instead then of using the Velocity Envelope, use the method
of holding down ctrl while dragging the end of the video.

Thank you for responding but I run into the same issue when I use that technique as well. It actually adds another issue when I do that, it just shows a black screen in the preview window when the technique is used. So I cannot even tell if it worked properly. Do you have any idea why this would happen and why these rendering errors occur?

Oh man, Vegas 11 can be so touchy. Try reinstalling it and
move the location where your Video files are located.

Okay well I got weird results when I did that. I did the whole re-install business and everything seemed to be working fine. It no longer froze at 1% while rendering. Instead it just freezes the render randomly unlike before. It is a different percentage each time when it fails and that is with velocity turned on. When I tried your ctrl click advice, it didn't make the preview screen black anymore so I could actually see what I was doing. However, when I render once again just like with the velocity, it freezes randomly as well. I tried multiple render settings with each file and I had it on force resample and everything still fails. The re-install fixed some issues but not all. I have no idea what could be causing this issue. I even had the render setting to "adjust framerate according to project settings" and it doesn't help the slightest. It's also not like my computer can't handle the renders considering I have an Nvidia560ti graphics card, an I7 processor and 16 gigs of ram and yet everything seems to fail with these settings.

Try completely disabling (turning off) the GPU.

Sorry for the late response but I have been busy. Anyways, I tried rendering with the CPU only and it actually made it worse. It doesn't even render past 1 percent with CPU only, it just freezes right away. I don't know if it is possible to even render this way in Sony Vegas now. I am about to use a different program at this rate since nothing seems to be working.
