Hey everyone,

Im back and after my last post a few months ago I took the plunge, got a new PC and went from Vegas 8.0c to 11 64bit.

Touch wood - so far so good.

Got one question and its probably me being dumb. On SVP 8 adding a video FX gave a timeline at the bottom where I could bring it in and out etc but I dont see this in SVP 11 :

The bit in red is where Id expect it, just as it appears in the green bit under track motion.

Where have I gone wrong LOL :)

Thanks,

Rik

There are a few little icons along the right side of the color wheel windows. They look like a clock face at 5 o'clock. Click on it to get the keyframe window.

Yea, Vegas Pro 11.0 doesn't show you a timeline unless you enable Animation for one of the parameters. It's very different than previous versions of Vegas. Before, each keyframe contained a snapshot of ALL of the parameters but now, each keyframe is only for a SINGLE parameter. This is much more powerful than before and gives you a lot of control.

Thank you both for the replies.

Is there a "whats new" style of document around where I can find out the differences between versions?

Thanks again - I feel dumb now LOL!

R.

[Rikki Daman] "Is there a "whats new" style of document around where I can find out the differences between versions?"

The release notes and manual are always good places to start.

There are also a number of webinars and various articles made and written by Sony.

Thanks for that - is there a quick link to say a Youtube video showing how to use the new mini timeline feature? Had a play yesterday and after trying to add a brightness and contrast plugin and moving the timeline around (in a similar way to 8) it ended up just keeping the effect live all the time. Was on the clock so couldnt mess around with it much unfortunately.

Thanks

Rik
