Hi,

By slowing motion (or fast) the audio event through "crtl + drag'n drop edges" the output has distortion in comparison to original voice (a kind of mechanized distortion).

Is there any way to fix this kind of distortion?

Ps.: By setting the time cursor to run faster or slower (the UI bottom left slider) there isn't the same distortion (the sound is clearer).

Thanks in advance,
Cadu

If you have Pro 9 or newer (not sure if Movie Studio has this option), right-click on the audio event and make sure élastique is enabled.

Thanks for information Mike. I didn't know about these methods.
I realized that my setting was already as "élastique". I tried all stretch attributes available, but variations of mentioned distortion have appeared (best output using "soloist (speech)". Also I have applied a fx "resonant filter" and set frequency to 5 (low pass). I achieve additional improvements.
Should "resonant filter" be a reasonable workaround to remove the distortion? There would be other workarounds that could be applied in this situation?
Bye,
Cadu

Carlos, I wish I could help but audio has never been my strong suit so I always rely on the help of others.
Hopefully someone else on here will have more suggestions.
