removing static "clicks" from audio

In a recording, a few clicks which sound like static somehow made their way into the recording file. I have now idea what caused it. I'm using an external Tascam US-122L as a recording device.

No clicks when I record off my Desktop PC but they appear when recording on my laptop.

But.. I digress. the question is... Is there a free plugin that can be used to remove these?

Thanks John,
I loaded the latest version of Audacity last night, quickly tried but didn't work. I'll try again today while I tweak the settings of the de-clicker.

It's a good one to have in my toolbox regardless. Thanks for mentioning it.

In my case, it was just needed in this particular case doing some audio recording. I can usually clean it up using other methods.
I'll definitely purchase if the need increases.

Another suggestion is to take a slice of audio on part of your video that is clean and paste it over the click. Of course that only works when there is no speaking going on. That has saved me many times.
Recently I had a bad spot with some crackle that lasted only a second or two. The video was on a farm and I added a couple seconds of barking dog over that short section to camouflage the bad audio and it worked like a charm.
