First, make a backup of your .veg files.
Interesting question. I suspect that every link is discreet. But the first time you run the project (.veg file) Vegas will say that it can't find the media and it asks where to search for it. Vegas then offers to search for the remaining media files in the same location. My guess is that you will have to do this for every folder where you have the media. But only once.
All of my projects are on Drive B. I put the project drive into the USB dock then run a batch file I wrote (
Make_Drive_B.bat) that uses the SUBST command to make the drive look like B: in Windows.
This way it doesn't matter which computer I use, the project is always on Drive B:.
