Hey Ya'll

I'm having a bit of an issue here. I've been capturing footage from video game consoles and after some issues I ended up changing some of my settings in VH Capture.

Instead of using Huffyuv 2.1.1 I switched to UT Video YCM420 VCM x86 and for audio I switched from PCM to AC-3 ACM 96000bps 32000hz 1ch on the advice of a friend. The capture was successful and fixed some choppiness I was having previously.

Anyway, I popped open Sony Vegas Pro 11 (64bit) and went to go edit the file but the audio just isn't there. The raw capture plays perfectly fine in VLC player, but I can't get the audio working in Vegas at all.

Am I missing a codec or do I need to use a secondary program to get it Vegas-ready? I'd rather not have to capture six hours of footage all over again.

Thanks.

[Kirk James] "...I switched from PCM to AC-3..."

That's your problem. Vegas can't read AC-3 files, only create them so you'll have to find an AC-3 to PCM (WAV) converter program.
