Need to chop one large video into clips
by Ryan Lulz on May 3, 2012 at 12:59:01 am
I recorded a 1 hour video with fraps.
I rendered the entire 1 hour video with Sony Vegas Pro 10.0.
Now I opened the rendered video in Sony Vegas, and I can't find a way to just save segments of the video (Trying to break it down into 5 clips). Do I have to re-render the already rendered video as clips? Confused...

If the video is on your timeline, place the cursor where you want to split the first segment and press S. Go to the next position and press S again. S cuts the video like cutting a film with scissors.
Double click on the first segment to highlight it, go to "Render as" in the file menu and ensure "Render looped region only" is ticked and go for it.
Repeat with the other cut segments.
