30fps footage: motion is blurred

When taking video of an interview, my main camera is my Panasonic GH2, which I have set to 24fps. Along with that, I also purchased a much cheaper Kodak Playsport, which takes video at 1080p, but only at 30fps. I use this camera on the side to get another angle so that I can cut between the two in the final project for a more visually interesting final render.

The footage that comes from the Kodak, though, is blurred whenever there's movement, like someone moving their hands. I also just took the Kodak to film cars driving by in front of my house, and they appear blurry.

Is this just the way it is, or do I need to set something in Project Properties or Render so that my footage from the Kodak Playsport is cleaner, without blur on movement?

How do I implement the scripting? Do I need to copy that file somewhere so that Vegas can recognize it?

You can also create a folder under My Documents called Vegas Script Menu and place the script in there and Vegas will find it when you scan for it. This is the preferred method on modern OS's like Windows 7 since non-admin users are not allowed to alter the Program Files folders anymore.

No, that script is to adjust 30.0fps to 29.97fps by slowing down the playback rate 0.9 and disabling resample. If you are going from 30.0 to 23.976 you can just disable resample on those events and let Vegas select the frames it wants to use. Otherwise it will blend frames to go from 30.0 to 23.976 which may or may not be desirable depending on how much motion is in the shot. I assume it won't mater for an interview which is mostly static shots.

BTW, VASST Ultimate S Pro (which I wrote) will allow you to make any adjustments you want on any number of events... and a whole lot more. ;-)
