Can't render mp3 in Vegas 11

I have the updated version of Vegas 11, 64 bit. In earlier versions, program would crash whenever I tried to render an mp3 file. Now, the render button is greyed out when I choose mp3 render. I don't see anything thing about this on this forum. Am I the only one who has this issue?

Thanks for your responses.
Yes I do have Sound Forge and can render mp3s there.
Workflow:
Choose Render as
Choose mp3 as the template
However the render button is greyed out.
