Sony Vegas Unmanaged exception (0xc0000005)

I need help please!

I just recently installed Sony Vegas Pro 9 on my laptop. I have used Vegas Pro 9 before and I reinstalled it on this laptop because my previous one crashed. It usually opens and installs without a problem. At first it opened and ran fine but now it refuses to open! It loads for a few moments then comes up with this message.

I've tried all the other solutions for this and none of them worked...
~ Reinstalling Vegas (tried this 4 or 5 times)
~ "Go to where you have installed sony vegas
The is a folder called vidcap plugins
go into that folder and ull find an "aviplug" folder and copy its aviplug.dll
to FileIo plugins folder (search for aviplug.dll in FileIo plugins folder) and replace it with vidcap's aviplug.dll
it shall work for now
cause the I/O aviplug.dll was screwed"
~ "control panel > cotrol panel home > system maitnence > system > advenced system settings > "Advanced" tab > "settings" under performance > data execution prevention > click add > go to the place where your sony vegas is, add it > make sure its ticked > click apply, then ok. and your done"

None of them have worked! Any suggestions?

It stops at "Creating File I/O Manager"

Ok, Mine does the same, except it stops at "Creating audio engines". Any help?

Most likely it's a problem with your audio drivers. Make sure they are the latest for your audio device.

What is the source of your video files? What codec do they use? It sounds like they might not be compatible with Movie Studio.

if i click cancel it shuts down Sony Vegas and gives me this message...

...Unmanaged exception (0xc0000005)

any advice?

Don't click cancel. Let it complete what it wants to do.

What type of audio is in your project? Proxy files are usually created with editing WMV files because Vegas doesn't edit the audio natively. If this is the case, try converting the WMV files to another format.

What changed about you PC between last night and today? Were any Window Automatic updates made? Something happened to make this error, especially since it's affecting multiple programs. I would double check your audio settings in Windows and see if it will let you test your audio hardware.

The last build for pro 10 was 10.0e so upgrade to that version first and see if it helps.

I have a trial of Sony Vegas Pro 11, and when I open it it says this,

I have been trying to find a fix to this problem for three days. Has anyone found a fix yet?

In my case, I had compiled a bunch of video clips I had shot, some B-roll from another camera and lots of downloaded images from the web. The project is just over 2 hours long and I had no problems while editing. I knew it would take a while to render, so before leaving the office I started rendering. I saw that it said it would take about 6 hours to render everything so I eagerly got to the office the next morning to see the finished project. To my dismay, my computer had shut off.
I booted it up and went to Vegas and saw that it said that so far 15 hours had passed and it was only 25% rendered. I thought that was strange and even stranger was the fact that it said there were still 19 hours to go. So I let it do its thing and the next day I looked at my finished project and it had failed to render one of the video tracks (I had created another track for the B roll camera footage). Ever since then when I try to open that project in Vegas, I get the box "Sony Vegas has stopped working" with the unmanaged exception (0xc0000005). I can open other projects in Vegas and have no problems using it for those projects, but there is something in that project that Vegas doesn't like and shuts down. There are hundreds of elements in the that project so how do I find which one is causing the problem? Do I remove them one at a time and then replace them if they are not the cause? I do not have the time or desire to start over again. Here are the things I have tried so far:
Running in Safe Mode
Running as administrator
Uninstalling Quicktime
Reinstalling Quicktime
Uninstalling and reinstalling Vegas numerous times
Doing ALL of the different solutions for these types of problems on the Sony Vegas troubleshooting site
researched all posts on Creative Cow pertaining to an 'unmanaged exception'
Tried all kinds of fixes found on YouTube, Google and Ask.com

All of these attempts have been fruitless. Please help me.

Hello! I am new to this forum and finding it very helpful! Thank you to all who contribute! I just recently upgraded to Sony Vegas Pro 11. I had been using 9. I am trying to figure out scrolling text (which by the way has been very difficult for me to figure out, even watching tutorials, reading the instructions on here, etc., I don't know if it has to do with length (it's 24 words))Anyway, I figured out how to right click when in the keyframer to change to "seconds" since I don't understand the 29.99 coding it's currently working under (my scroll is going way too fast). Every time I right click on that bar to change to "seconds", I get the Sony Vegas Shutting down message with the error code "Unmanaged Exception 0xc0000005)" Below is the exact information and photo (you will see where I right clicked and it blacks out since there's an error message that pops up)I haven't had any issues with this program until now. Everything else seems to go smooth, it's only when I try to change that coding. I would really appreciate any help on this. I did follow the instructions on an earlier post by adding Sony Vegas in my security settings but this did not work. Thank you!!
