Hello, esteemed fellow vegans,
i've been looking for a way to sync vegas to acid.
is that possible at all?
i came across loopbe1 at http://nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html, a virtual midi driver.
would that help in any way?

Thanks, John,
i tried installing it, but it says it won't install on my 64 bit vista system. bummer.
i did manage to install loopbe1 virtual midi.
it shows up in both vegas and acid, but i still don't seem to be able to get them to sync up. i must have tried every possible combination of settings in both programs.
would you please be so kind to explain to me what the settings should be in both vegas and acid?

Yea, I never tried it on Vista 64 so I'm not surprised that it doesn't work. It wasn't designed for XP either so it was a stretch that it worked there (it's a Windows NT driver!)

ACID likes to be the master so are you setting up Vegas to be the slave? What versions of ACID and Vegas? With the multi-track audio capabilities of ACID Pro 7.0 I can't see any reason for needing Vegas so what exactly are you trying to do?
I'm not sure it works in 64bit, but I did have it going in 32bit vista. I had nuendo slaving to vegas, I was able to use nuendo to play the audio multitrack in perfect sync with vegas By using this technique. Once your virtual midi driver is working it's straight forward enough to slave them.
You could always go hardware too if you buy a cheap midi interface with 2 in 2 out, just loop a cable and assign the correct ports and bob's your uncle.
