Bezier masks
by Pete Locascio on Nov 2, 2009 at 11:26:25 pm

I have a model of a spacecraft that I want to chroma key. It's on a stand which I'd like to mask out. Is it possible to mask out just the stand or do I have to draw anchor points around the whole model, except the stand, in order to eliminate it.

In Event Pan/Crop where you draw the mask, under Path - Mode, change positive to negative.

I'm on it like a fat kid on a twinkie

Sorry, didn't mean to offend! The irony is that I eat maybe one a year... Maybe it's time I change my tag line. :-)

Peter, if the ship is going to remain stationary, take a still of it with a decent digital camera, bring the image into Photoshop and get rid of the background.
Because it'll be a higher res image, you'll be able to zoom in on it more than if it was shot with a video camera.
