Need Help Capturing Video
by Norm Kaiser on Oct 17, 2009 at 5:56:53 pm

I apologize in advance, as I'm sure this question has been asked and answered a thousand times before. I've searched all over the Internet trying to find the answer myself, but to no avail, so I'm posting here.

I have a Panasonic PV GS-150, and I'm having trouble capturing video into Sony Vegas. It captures video just fine, but it's 360x240 rather 720x480.

The GS-150 is capable of recording at 720x480, right? Or am I wrong?

What am I doing wrong?

" . . . but it's 360x240 rather 720x480. "

How do you know this? From where are you reading the figures?

Grazie

In Windows Media Player, I have the VIEW set to 100%. Then I do a screen grab, open MS Paint, and it gives me the exact dimensions of the image.

BUT I think I've resolved the issue -- it's evidently my Firewire card. I imported from the camera to my laptop and the resolution is correct.

Thanks so much for replying.

Norm
