Plugin to automatically pan and follow speaker?

I film church services for our church. The pastor moves around on stage and right now I just take a fairly wide shot of the entire stage. What I would like to do is have Sony Vegas zoom in and automatically pan, following the speaker. To manually place key frames to do this would take a long time and I was hoping that there was a plug-in that would accomplish this. I appreciate any help you can give me on this!

I would say that the best way to achieve this is to use two camera's. One for the overview shot and one for the zooming and panning. Afterwards, you can use Vegas to combine the two footages in a proper way.
Zooming and panning in Vegas usually leads to the loss of pixels, resulting in loss of quality.
