Thoughts on green screen PLEASE

Hey guys, if you have time, please check out

What do you think of the quality of the green screen.

The reason why I ask, Is becuase I think its 'shoddy' and I need other peoples thoughts so I can build up a case to why it needs replacing.

Thanks in advance!

I was able to pull a good key off of that shot using Boris RED. I could not say the same for the built in Vegas keyer which couldn't handle the range of greens.

The only thing wrong with that screen is that the seams are darker but any good keyer should be able to handle that. What's really wrong is that it's not evenly stretched and lit. The step area has a dark shadow because it needs to be lit from above to get the shadows out. Also it the screen needs to be pulled tighter to get out the wrinkles.

If you are just using Vegas then you need better keying software. If you want to buy a new screen then eefx.com has some awesome screens and the seams are almost invisible.

I'd say that you could benefit from some better lighting on the foreground...that would help immensely. The background isn't very saturated green of course, but the fact that the gray scale is so compressed (the blacks don't look very dark and the highlights don't look very white) that you will have as much problem pulling this key from that as you will from an inconsistent green color and wrinkles.
