Select Video for windows (*.avi) in the Save as type: box.
Then NTSC DV (or any other option of your choice) in the Template box.
Click Custom and then Video.
Select DivX or XviD in the Video format: drop down box, click OK and start rendering.

OK, ime using Vegas Studio Platinum Pro Pack'. I cant see a 'Save as Type' box but under the Project menu there is a 'Render as'.
From here I can choose 'video for windows'
From here I choose the 'PAL DV Widescreen' Template.
From here I click on Custom button and select Video Tab.
There is no xvid/vidx under video format.
Do I need to install something.

Regards,
Ben

Do you have DivX and/or XviD installed on your computer?

I do now;). It seems I have to do 1st pass and 2nd pass after that manually. Is there not a way of getting them both done back to back automatically?

Regards, Ben

Sorry but I've never rendered out to either of these codecs so I can't offer any suggestions :-(
