Different file types
by Quenton Lee on Aug 17, 2009 at 3:00:03 am

I am putting a project together in using MPegs. I had about half way done. whne I needed a file that was wmv. I dropped it into the timeline, and played the clip, half way through the clip , the computer locked up. ctel+alt+del would not work, had to use the power button to tunr off the computer. This is the first ime I have used MPegs, do mpegs and wmv , not work well together?

Depending on your version of Vegas, WMV files may have problems. This is nothing I've experienced personally because I don't use WMV but just from answering questions here it seems that there are lots of issues with Vegas and WMV files lately. Try converting the file to another format like DV which Vegas edits easier.
