can some one give me a dummy proof way of using particle illusion in vegas 9, I am so lost

Particle Illusion is a stand alone program. Download the free lagarith codec, render your PI project as avi file with the lagarith codec (select to include alpha channel) and import this rendered file into your Vegas project.
