Blu Ray Media Recording at 2x

I recently purchased a Buffalo internal Blu Ray burner that can burn at speeds up to 8x for a 25GB disk. I have disks that are 4x and 6x. In DVD Architect, when I go to burn to the Blu Ray disk the only speed that is an option is 2x. Using regular DVDs always provides the correct options (8x, 16x, etc.); this is specific to the Blu Ray. Is there a limitation within DVDA by any chance that precludes burning at speeds higher than 2x?

Update on this post -- I've now tried this with an LG burner, as well, and have the same problem. I haven't heard back from Sony, yet, on this question and was hoping someone on the site here may know. Thanks.

This always happens with new burners. Software has to catch up to the hardware. DVD Architect doesn't burn Blu-ray straight off the filesystem anyway. It creates a disc image ISO file. Just burn the ISO file with the burning software that cam with your burner.
