Vegas vs. FCP (again)

Someone emailed me asking about why I prefer Vegas over FCP. My reply is here. Perhaps you want to add to this information, as the links are a little bit out of date.

Price -- Vegas cost 1/2 FCP.
You can download any version of Vegas and use it free for 30 days. FCP, in any version, you have to buy.
Ease of learning. This is especially obvious if you compare the consumer versions: Vegas Home Movie Studio Platinum (about $90) comes complete with built-in tutorials and how-to explanations at a click of a mouse. FCP Express (about $160) has none of that. Note all the books trying to teach you any version of FCP vs the paucity of books teaching Vegas. Part of that is due to the larger number of FCP sales, but part is due to the fact you can learn Vegas so much more easily.
Disadvantage of Vegas: if you want to work freelance as an editor, you have to know how to edit using FCP. (Some jobs require Avid. A very few require Vegas or Premiere.)
