Importing BLU-RAY media into Architect 5.0
by Pete Locascio on Sep 19, 2008 at 10:31:19 pm

OK. I rendered a Blu-Ray project using the Blu-Ray disc burning option in Pro 8 and it came out as desired. I then attempted to import it into Achitect 5.0. I used the following settings in architect prior to attempting to import the project :
Blu-Ray disc, video format AVC, video bit rate 15.0 MBPS, resolution 1440x1080, frame rate 29.970i, audio format AC-3, and audio bit rate 192 KBPS. These are the same exact settings that I used to render the project in Pro 8. Why is architect telling me that the file is in the wrong format?
Do I need to use a different render method in Pro 8, and if so how do you render the video and audio separately if necessary?
Thanks for any help you can prvide!! Thanks

You should be using one of the Blu-ray video stream templates in Vegas Pro 8.0 and then render your audio separately using the AC3 render type. The AVCHD templates are under the Sony AVC render type. If you keep the names of the files the same (except for the extensions) DVD Architect will associate the audio with the video.
