Adding an Audio Track in DVD A
by Brian Ross on Sep 12, 2008 at 4:51:15 am

I'm trying to add an audio track to my DVD project.
I would like to select this audio track as an alternate audio source while watching the DVD.

I have the main video/audio in my project, and when I have that selected in the timeline, I can see the audio & the video tracks.

But no matter what I do, I can't seem to figure out how to add another audio track.

I've rendered a seperate ac3 audio file, and tried inserting, and dragging that file into the timeline, but it never shows up.

Any tips on where I'm going wrong?

Brian
DVD a 4.5

it is as simple as dragging it from the explorer window into the timeline, below the main audio track. Just did it now, so am not sure why your audio isn't working.

once done, can select audio during preview, to make sure all is working.

try dragging something from your music folder, i.e. mp3 or similar, to exclude any audio you have rendered yourself (eliminate variables)

you could also use the '+' button on the timeline toolbar to add an extra audio track, then click TRACK MEDIA in top right properties window, and then REPLACE the audio for that new track.

Adam,

Thanks for the response.
I can drag an audio file to the timeline, but once I drop it nothing happens.
Should another audio track become visible on the timeline?

Also, I do not have a "+" on my timeline toolbar.

Could this be a "pro" only feature?

Thanks again,
Brian

Well, I guess it's time to upgrade.
Downloaded the trial version of DVD A Pro, and there it is!

Thanks Adam.
