DVD banding
by Thayer Radic on Jul 26, 2008 at 6:08:50 am

Hello,

Ive been using vegas 8 to export AVI (no compression) video to burn with dvd architect.
The problem im having is that the DVD has severe thick banding lines usually during transitions between clips.
The banding is clearly visible when the DVD is played on a tv or computer.

Are there project/render settings in vegas or architect that i need to adjust to eliminate the banding?

Thanks

Hi

what were your settings? Unless your video was unusually long, 1h 50" or so it probably would be better rendering your MPEG/Audio streams directly in Vegas. There's a template for NTSC DVDA.

Whatever you do, don't use the NTSC DVD template in Vegas. Use NTSC DVD Architect, but never the DVD template.

Hi Spot

I probably should have spelled out Architect but the A was there!
;-) (DVDA)
