ProType Titler problems

I've been trying to use ProType Titler and find it maddeningly un co-operative! I'm not a novice editor and I've had plenty of previous experience keyframing with After Effects and other software. When I first tried to use the Titler I had problems so I printed out the entire online help and followed the instructions on how to use it but it didn't help. The keyframes disappear, the text movement will work once and then refuse to budge, the preview window doesn't preview and it crashes. I've wasted quite a few hours on it and I don't think I should have to pay another $60 plus dollars for a training video. I really expected more.
Are others as frustrated as I am with this software?
;-)
That's just one of those tips you'd learn in the pesky training DVD. There are quite a few undocumented features/workflows that the manual doesn't, and really can't show. Engineers aren't necessarily editors/creative people.
That said, glad the tip solved the problem.
ProType Titler is an excellent tool, it just takes some digging and patience to get to the heart of it. Most problems people have with it are related to slower/piggish video cards or drivers.

I am not being a smart a$$ here but you don't ever have to buy a training video. You buy a training video to shortcut the learning process and jump start using a product. What you expect from a training manual is another story.

I'm afraid I gave up on ProType long ago. I tried the above tutorial, but still had endless problems. I just use the old style type, and animate it if I need to. Bummer. This add-on is a major pain.
