organizing media.. help..

OK.. first. i have media manager turned off -

I am starting to have some media, graphics, etc, scattered of some drives and i'd like to put it all in one location.

can vegas do that.. find all project media and store it together on an archive drive?

Yes. Just save as, and check "Copy media with project". Hope this helps. Danny Hays

Wayne, if Danny's suggestion is correct (and I'm sure it is), here's my suggestion for future projects.
I always bring all material into a master project folder, even if they're already elsewhere on my system.
This way, everything is in one place on one drive and the computer doesn't have to waste time grabbing material from different drives.
At the end of the project, the master folder gets deleted but things like music, images, logos, etc. remain where they originally came from.

Thanks Guys.. I might take a little of both... and figure out a system.

Lately i've had several projects underway at the same time for the same client.. i started to realize i had media like graphics and still frames, etc. over way too many locations to be comfortable. Some in part because i did not catch vegas placing then with other media files.
