I'm quite new to the chroma keying world but have recently been checking out the virtual sets. I really like the Adobe 'Master sets' library. I'm having a hard time googling info on whether or not this works with Vegas or if you need other software to make it happen. Does anyone have any experience with this?

No, the Adobe Master Sets libraries do not work with Vegas. They only work with the Adobe Ultra software. You can use the output of Adobe Ultra in Vegas, but you can't use the master sets directly.

If you don't need the tracking ability from Ultra, you can use the back ground .png files in Vegas. Make sure you can see your hidden files, In windows explorer select tools, folder options, view and select show hidden files and folders. You will also need to drag them to the timeline in Vegas from Windows explorer and not the explorer in Vegas. They won't show up there. Look in the Ultra virtual sets folder and then inside each set is an elements folder which contains the background .png files. If your using Vegas to key DV footage, put a chromablur plugin before the chroma key plugin and set the blur to medium. This will help with the typical DV jaggies we all know and hate. Hope this helps. Danny Hays
