Vegas ultimate 8.0d no longer supports import of mts/AVCHD files ?

Upgraded from version 8.0 pro to a trialversion of 8.0d build 139, and when I now try to open the mts files from my Canon HF100 (AVCHD camcorder), Vegas gives me the message : unsupported format. I had no problems with opening the same files in 8.0b.

Sounds like you're going from Vegas Pro 8.0b to Vegas Movie Studio 8.0d. Movie Studio is the "little brother" to the pro version and doesn't have as many features.

Oops :( You're absolutely right. Seems I somehow made an assumption that "platinum edition" somehow was the "pro" with even more features. A quick visit to the Sony pages would've easily cleared up that Pro is the bigger brother.
