Text Plug-in repositioning when i type?

OK, I’m sorry to ask this: Sony Text Plug-in – How do I keep my titles from repositioning when I type something new. I created an “Insert text here” title for use as a template. I perfected the right font, leading, tracking. I positioned it perfectly in my lower third. My first drag on the timeline - type something new - and the text moves away from its original position in relation to how much text I type. I then have to reposition it manually. Tedious!
I could understand if it moved up or down in relation to how many lines I type, but why move left or right? I can’t seem to figure this out. I have thirteen 22 min episodes with hundreds of names and places and I can’t see myself repositioning every time I need a new lower third title!
I must be missing something?
I’ve been a Vegas user for a bit now, but always long form or 30 sec spot work, almost never lower thirds. When we needed it we always hired a compositing wiz kid to cook them up – he’d .veg it over and we’d drop it in when needed.
I swear, every time I learn a new app/plug-in it pushes an old app/plug-in out of my head!

It varies depending on the settings you have on the main screen (left, center, right justified) AND the settings you have on the "Placement" tab. You need to play around with both to see how the two interact.

Thanks, I was using the "left justify" options on the text page, and on the placement page i was using "free form". This caused the text to move positions depending on how many characters/lines etc i had.
Now, using the "Bottom Left" option in the placement page the text stays left justified (hugging the title safe area). However having more than one line of text forces the text upward and out of my lower third instead moving outward from the center. Which works better if your text overlays a lower third.
My solution is two saved template titles - one for single line text and one for double lined text.
