Moving a group of pieces of video on different tracks
by Mark Vincent on May 7, 2008 at 1:04:58 pm

HI. What I'm trying to do is move several bits of video scattered all throughout different tracks. What I want to do is bring them ALL back a couple of seconds so that I can attach them to another piece of video. What I do now is I "select events to end" on one track and the ctrl-click on the additional pieces on the other tracks and drag them all...is there a quicker way, like select all events from this point on (all tracks)?

You can try using Ripple Edit.
Just make sure sure to disable it afterwards.

[Mark Vincent] ".is there a quicker way,"

Yes there is! It's exactly why I wrote the "Select Events" tool in Excalibur. A script can easily do things like "Select all events after the cursor no matter which track they're on".
