Recapturing HDV from DV project- HELP!!!!

Hello, I truly hope you can help me. I've done a great deal of editing of a project shot with a Sony FX1 in HDV, but to save space and take it easy on my laptop, I batch captured with timecode in DV. I didn't figure recapturing in HDV would be a problem, but I guess I was wrong. I've now seen a similar post talking about how the Vegas recapture window for HDV won't allow you to enter timecode info. I have Vegas 6, do any of the later versions allow capture of HDV with exact timecode? Then even if I can't recapture, I can replace the old DV files with HDV files of the same timecode. Having to practically re-edit the piece to get an HDV master would be a disaster.
If Vegas can't do it, I've been looking at other possiblities for HDV capture with timecode. Cineform Aspect HD claims to batch capture HDV in conjunction with Adobe Premiere Pro. The Premiere Pro Demo is crashing my laptop, and I'd love to be able to just stay with Vegas. Thanks, you'd be saving my life!

In Vegas Pro8 and Vegas7, when you go: File->Capture Video->HDVorSDI
when the capture window comes up for HDV, there are boxes for timecode In & Out.
I do not know about Vegas 6.

Hi John, I went out and bought Vegas 8 on your recomendation, sight unseen. HOwever, when I enter the HDV capture window, the same thing happens as before. Though the timecode boxes appear, they are grayed out and I am unable to enter any timecode info for them, which was the same with Vegas 6. Have you actually been able to batch capture with HDV in Vegas? Or perhaps there's just a setting somewhere I need to change?
Your help would be a tremendous gift, as it would save me a great deal of work and frustration.
