Odd problem in Vegas 7
by Jim Harvey on Jan 11, 2008 at 12:11:34 am

I recently ran into a problem with Vegas 7 that I've never seen before. When importing clips to the timeline I noticed that on of the clips appeared to be slightly out of focus and had an appearance that it was "underwater". the clip next to it was perfect. I htought perhaps that there might be a problem as one clips was from a canon XL2 while the other was from a Panasonic HVX-200. Both were shot in 16:9 SD. I moved the blurry clip to another location on the timeline and it seemed to resolve itself. However, when I opened the project again, THIS time the HVX clip had the problem while the XL-2 clips were fine. the affected clips were at the beginning of the timeline and it did not manifest itself to all clips from either camera.

Anyone ever run into this before? It's puzzling to me, and I'd like to know what the cause might be.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds to me like a track level or video output level FX accidentally got turned on (with keyframes).

[Mike Kujbida] "Sounds to me like a track level or video output level FX accidentally got turned on (with keyframes)."

That is what I would think as well.
