Vegas 8 multicamera editing
by Richard on Jan 10, 2008 at 3:52:06 pm

Hi All
I have am using the multi-camera feature of Vegas 8. I think it works great, however there are two things which bother me - the first is that any filters you put on the original video are lost when the multi-camera editing is enabled. The work-around isn't too bad - fix the video track, render then use the rendered video to do the multi-camera cuts. The second is more of a problem. When the multi-camera is enabled, everything gets condensed to the "resultant" track e.g. the selected camera is the only view you have into the future. So when you make a cut to a new camera, you don't know what you are cutting into. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
Thanks!

This is exactly why Ultimate S, Excalibur, and infinitiCAM are still preferable for multicam use by many people.
