i know this has been asked before,
but i haven't found an answer yet.
the trimmer markers won't be saved in the xdcam mxf files.
is there a way to get that fixed?
or any suggestions for nice workaround?
The trimmer markers are saved with the mxf video file so long as it is on your hard drive. Are you wanting to export the mxf file with essence markers?

thanks for your quick reply.
i just got back to my screen...
the files are on my hard drive, and i don't plan to export them.
still, when i close vegas, and reopen the project, the markers are gone.

I'm sorry, Douglas, it doesn't work.
the files aren't read only, i checked that.
i only experience these problems with the mxf files, not with any other type of file i use.
it should work, right? xdcam being Sony, and all..?

Saving markers and regions in MXF files has been an issue since v7.0. I reported the bug/problem way back last year but it wasn't fixed in v8.0 or v8.0a but Sony Support mailed me on the 18th that it is a listed fix in v8.0b. Just downloaded 8.0b so am about to check it out!
