Render settings for best quality HD playback
by Jonathan Butler on Jan 5, 2008 at 11:03:50 am

As a newbee this site has been very informative but I'm still a little confused as to what my best options are for highest quality rendering (and file format) for HD playback.

I'm using a Sony HDR-SR7 camcorder and Vegas 8 Pro. I would like to create my finished video and play it back on my HD TV via PS3 (without burning to disk, i.e. just play the video file stored on my harddisk).

What are my best options for best quality playback? - what render settings, what file format (avi, mpeg2, etc) - file size and render time not a problem.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
Jonmb
