importing video from hard drive
by Dave Wray on Dec 19, 2007 at 2:26:44 am

I have a Sony camera that uses the Mini DV disks. I took a whole bunch of footage and I copied it all onto a file on my comupter to handle later. Now when I use Vegas 8.0 to import the info it shows no media files. The files are all there when I use windows explorer. I imported file just fine when I asked Vegas to import them directly from the mini DV disk.

When I explore the files I have copied, there are 3 BUP files, 3 IFO files, and 3 VOB files. Which ones do I need to find a way to import into Vegas?

Thanks for your help
Dave

Either drop the VOB file directly on the Vegas timeline or go the File - Import - DVD Camcorder disc route and browse to the folder containing the files.
