ProType Titler font question

Vegas 8 has 4 CGs. Video Factory Text (Legacy) , Text (Legacy), Text (Vegas 7?) and ProType Titler (Vegas 8).
I have about 1200 fonts loaded into my PC and they all show up in Adobe PS CS2 and Vegas text (Vegas 7). But I only see about 50 fonts in my ProType titler. It appears that ProType titler doesn't see any of my Adobe font libary (.PFM) fonts.
Does ProType titler only use .TTF fonts?
Is there any way to get the ProType Titler to use the rest of my fonts?
It appears that the Legacy text generators have the same limitation. TTF only.

I had the same exact problem and resolved it by copying and dragging adobe fonts into the Windows font directory.
For example, when I did a search for Adobe Caslon Pro, it lived in a Adobe directory (Adobe CS2), dragging Adobe fonts to the general Windows font area did the trick for me.

Thank you for the suggestion. The fix won't work for me though because the fonts are already in my C:windows/fonts.
They appear in PS CS2, Vegas 8 "text" media generator but not the ProType titler.
All the TTF fonts in my windows font folder work with ProType Titler but none of the .PFM fonts. While both type work fine in the Vegas 8 "text" media generator.
