I was wondering why people recommend xp pro over xp home for running Vegas?
Thanks

Actually for me it made no difference but I wasn't into HD yet. Get Pro if you can but my editing machine has XP-Home and it still flies through editing and rendering.

Good question! I was just wondering the same?
I need to buy XP this week to run on my new macbook pro and I don't know if pro has any advantage over home.
Maby someone else can chime in.

For Vegas on its own, it doesn't matter whether you run home or Pro, but if you're going to network, Home is a PITA, which makes network rendering less than easy to set up.

Tks for the quick reply DSE!

Is it difficult to set up network rendering between a macbookpro w/xp pro and a pc w/xp pro?
