Multiple Layers on one track to create 'clones'
by DevilDog11 on Aug 13, 2007 at 3:00:16 am

I am a fairly new user and am attempting to create a scene where there are many of the same person in the same shot. I am using a stationary camera and creating multiple clips for each entry. I have attempted to use the track motion feature to move the frame over for 2 instances, but it ends up moving a lot of the left and right frame out of the picture and doesn't allow for more 'clones' to come in (Maybe I am doing it wrong?). I have also tried to lower the opacity level of one track but it ends up looking funky. Is there a better way to create many layers that will give this effect?

Thanks,

Kevin-

Most likely, you want to use masking to let only certain parts of the frame show while exposing other layers. Try the very powerful Bezier masking that is part of the Pan/Crop tool. You can also tweak positioning with Track Motion as well.
