Hi there guys I am having some problems with vegas, my rig is a dual core e6600 2 gigs of ram, nvida quadro fx 1500, vegas 7 with ralight for hvx200 files
now I was working with some 720p greenscreen footage that I had to take to AF7 uncompressed and then back to vegas, now when I bring the 30 sec 2gig uncompressed avi back to vegas and I put it in the timeline and play it I get jittering video with out of sync audio even on the draft lowest quality setting, why is this? vegas cant handle such a big file or what? is there a way to fix this??
nowmy second question is, why is that when I am working with hvx200 files on the timeline and want to prerender something it opens windows media player and does not apply the effect on the timeline?
I rememeber that when I was working with SD footage and wanned to preview an effect it applied on the timeline, is there a way to fix this??

It could very well be a case where the file is not being read fast enough. Things of this nature are very hard to diagnose over a forum as every machine out there is different.

Are you accidentally picking the "Preview in Player" option (CTRL + SHIFT + M) instead of the normal "Pre-Render" (SHIFT + M) or "Render to New Track" (CTRL + M)?

my machine should be more than qualified to handle this, the whole problem is going to af7 from vegas and then back, no one in the world has a proper solution for this and as far as I have seen no one can get it right, I have tried everything from exporting as animation to rendering as avi uncmpressed

Taking vid from Vegas to AE regularly; not a big deal.
Sequential PNGS, TGA, Sheer codec uncompressed, all work well. Only problem most folks have is exporting the Sony YUV, which AE won't read.
Uncompressed is tough for most machines, unless you've got a serious RAID.
