Why aren't my shortcuts workign in 7.0e?

This is strange..
I just installed 7.0e and as usual I went to make my ALT-S shortcut that adds a velocity envelope to the event and adding the shortcut works, but when I press ALT-S on the event, nothing happens.
I created my shortcut the same way that I did for previous versions of vegas and that's in the 'customize keyboard' section and I do a search for 'velocity' and it comes up with 'insert.envelope.event.velocity' I assign my keys by pressing ALT-S which gets displayed. All looks good except it just doesn't work.
