Eliminate Motion Blur when Undersampling
by postman2000 on Mar 3, 2007 at 7:00:53 pm

(Vegas Video 4.0)
I want a choppy/strobe-type effect on a clip (each frame held for a few frames), so I used the Undersampling option in the Clip Properties. It looks good in the preview, but there's a type of motion blur or ghost-effect when it's rendered. I don't have the motion blur envelope on.

I tried setting the Playback Rate to the same as the Undersample, also tried Rendering as Progressive or Interlaced-lower, and also tried rendering at Preview quality, but all got the same or similar result.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to eliminate that blur/ghost-effect?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to bother. Please disregard my post.

I realized the clip I was using had the ghosting itself--it was no fault of the undersampling.
