dissolve or fade to white instead of black...
by raiderneal on Sep 16, 2006 at 3:29:30 am

Hello,

I've seen transitions where the video will dissolve to a gradual bright white between clips. I am trying to use the transition in the dissove section called "fade through white." I would like to slow this transition down or extend the amount of time it takes to finish. How do I do this?

You adjust the length of the transition by changing the amount of overlap of your two events. The longer the overlap the slower the transition. You might also want to place a generated white event on the track below the two scenes. You could then fade out on scene A which would fade to show the underlying white scene which you could hold as long as you liked. And then fade in on scene B.

Right clic transition > Insert/Remove envelope > Transition progress.
