Hi!
Normaly I'm using Vegas 6.0 but just for fun I tried Sony Vegas Movie studie trial. I made a small testmovie (30 sec) and when I hit the "Make Movie"-button -> "E-mail it" it turned into a very small file (3 MB) but the quality was still surprisingly good: Audio:44.100Hz 16 bit stereo. Video: 720x576x24 25,000 fps (i'm using PAL). What render-settings are used in that "E-mail it"-process? and can Vegas 6.0 render in the same quality (app. 1 MB per. 10 sec)?

File - Render As - WMV as the format, and then try out the various presets. Start with the 3Mbps preset and adjust from there. For example, you'll have to change the framerate to 25. You might want to change the "Quality" slider all the way to the right. Perhaps drop the bitrate below 3. Render out several examples keeping track of your settings until you find a good compromise between quality and size.
