more network rendering problems
by Anthony on Jul 29, 2005 at 11:34:51 pm

I did everything like I was told , a few questions?

Do I keep both of vegas render service boxes open for 53704 and 53705?
Also when I try to add a second line under render in either box I get failed to add peer something like cant add host computer.
When I did try to render it was very slow like the cpus are not the same, The times of the two are very different. The cpu is a dual core x2 4200 amd
Man someone should write a vegas for dummies tutorial on this lol
Also I heard that mpeg2 encoding on vegas 5 will use dual processors is that true?

Actually, I do a step-by-step demonstration in The Vegas 5 Companion video.

If you are using Vegas 6, there will be little to be gained by a render distributed within the same machine. Just make sure that your video preferences are set so that you are using 4 threads.

[Anthony] "Where can I buy your Vegas 5 companion?"

The Vegas 5 Companion, DVD Authoring with DVDA 2, The Vegas 6 Primer and the upcoming Vegas 6 Companion and DVD Authoring with DVDA 3 can all be ordered at www.VegasTrainingAndTools.com.

Thanks,
Gary
