It never ceases to amaze

My iPhone has been problematic for days, constantly switching to the edge network, showing no service, and taking twenty minutes to send emails, etc. So, after waiting patiently, rebooting several times a day, etc, etc, ect... I finally called AT&T today. After an hour of basically hearing from four different levels of tech support engineers that there were no issues on their end, and no issues with my phone, we hang up, only to have the issue cleared-up from there end just minutes later. O even get a thank you text telling me they appreciate my help in tracking down issues on the network.
I was back on the 3G network and everything worked great for about ten minutes, now it's back to the edge network and taking forever to do even the most simple tasks.

By any chance did you install the tethering hack on the iPhone. Everyone I know who did (myself included) have had lots of problems after that.
Turnes out that hack messes up how the phone communicates with ATT and the only fix is to restore the phone and NOT restore from the backup that iTunes makes because that backup is jacked up and contains the problem also.
Even if you did not install the tether hack definitely try a restore and set up as a new phone. When you go in for an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar they will ask if you have tried it. If the restore and setting up as a new iPhone (not restoring from iTunes backup) its probably a bad antenna on the phone.
There are no "technical solutions" to your "artistic problems".
Don't let technology get in the way of your creativity!
