I'm hoping to finally leave Sprint when my contract is up and join AT&T to get my iPhone.
I love all of the features and I think it will be a great upgrade from my Treo (I'll miss my TomTom GPS tho...but I'll just use the Treo as a fulltime navigator). Anyhoo, is the iPhone capable of receiving SMS text messages with picture attachments? I know it can send and receive pics via mail, but this is a feature I use often on my Treo and there doesn't seem to be any indication that iPhone can do this outside of mail.

No unfortunately it cannot.
