Mobile distribution
by Jeff Cochran on Feb 5, 2008 at 12:45:28 am

Hello all:

I just had a client approach me about producing mobile content. Well, I've never done this before and one of the big questions that came up was, how do you distribute the content?

Can anyone explain this, please? Is it as simple as mailing the content to a phone? Or, does it require another distribution method? Does each phone have it's own formats? Any information would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Compression Techniques forum is a good place for this type of question.

Similar to any web available image or sound it will have to reside on a server.

Incomplete answer; hopefully some help.

Cheers,

[Jeff Cochran] "how do you distribute the content? "

The best way for iPhones it to build a web site with iPhone compatible media.

Don't let technology get in the way of your creativity!

So, the media resides on my website and the user accesses it similarly to accessing a website?

How do I get specs to make my media Iphone compatible?

Thank you

Both compressor and visualhub have good presets for encoding video for the iphone.
